Beth Casarjian

EQ2 Lead Instructor

Bethany Casarjian, Ph.D. has a long history of working with at-risk youth and training the adults who care for them. At Lionheart Foundation, Dr. Casarjian is Clinical Director of The National Emotional Literacy Project for Youth-at-Risk. Prior to Lionheart, she worked for 10 years with at-risk youth in the New York City area, co-creating the TRIP program (Treatment for Residents with Incarcerated Parents) at The Children's Village and serving as Clinical Director of The Heritage School in East Harlem and an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University. Her books include: EQ2: Empowering Direct Care Staff to Build Trauma-Informed Communities for Youth; Power Source: Taking Charge of Your Life and Power Source Parenting: Growing Up Strong and Raising Healthy Kids. Dr. Casarjian's work has received funding from various agencies including The National Institutes of Health and SAMHSA.
